Coin Number 2

Here is a most handsome example of this coveted early US gold eagle. The surfaces offer strong luster and a touch of prooflike reflectivity. This is a beautiful coin, original color and surfaces and graded long ago. The strike is sharp and there are no surface distractions beyond a couple of minor handling marks from brief circulation. This die pairing is scarcer than the Taraszka 1 issue, with perhaps 90 to 110 pieces surviving in all grades. This is one of the nicer examples known today. A regal and impressive coin that is perfectly suited to any advanced collection, and one which is arguably undergraded by todays standards.
