This is the sole PCGS MS-63 graded and the finest they have seen of this conditionally challenging date. The surfaces are nice and original, as one would expect for a Choice coin, but this is for an early 1841 dated eagle, a most extraordinary condition for this issue. There are a few minor surface marks as expected for the grade, but the eye appeal, luster, and strike are incredible overall. The eagles of 1840 through 1842 used small date punches that are the same date punches used to make Large cents of these years.
