An exceptional example of this numismatic delicacy. Only six likely were minted, and this is the finest known. The devices are deeply frosted while the fields fall away with near perfect mirroring. There are some minor slide marks in the left obverse field and these limited the grade from Gem! Old hazy toning common to these early Proofs, and a few copper specks to add more age to this regal jewel. The eye appeal and elegance of this piece cannot be overstated. The other known examples show considerably less contrast and do not earn the Deep Cameo designation, and are not of the technical quality of the present coin either. A simply glorious and memorable coin.
