A glorious example of this scarce issue. Only 35,850 pieces were struck. Today approximately 200 are known and this is one the top four or five to survive. The strike shows minor central softness, commonly seen on this date and mint. The fields are satin smooth and Liberty’s face and neck are quite clean and attractive. The reverse is pleasing as well.
