This is one of the finest seen of the Large Date variety. The fields are glistening with satin luster, while the devices are more frosty. Clean fields on the obverse, while the reverse shows a few tiny ticks in the central field areas. The strike is sharp and complete. Bold on the curl over Liberty’s ear, also on the reverse down to the eagle’s claw. One of the finer pieces known to exist of the Large Date variation.
