This is the only Mint State example graded by PCGS, NGC has graded 4 at this level with none finer. This coin is from the Eliasberg/Bass Collections and is regarded as the finest of a paltry mintage of 14,500 pieces, from which about 100 or so are known today. The surfaces show moderate ticks from handling, but the regal orange-gold luster remains intact. The strike is sharp and pleasing.
