Cert #8668 31860319

Coin Number 140

Frosty and bright, with ample luster to please the eye. Mintage of 12,000 pieces, today between 80 and 85 likely survive. This one was recently discovered in Europe circa (2014-5), and is the finest yet graded, just topping out the Harry W. Bass, Jr., coin by a grade point at PCGS. No others are certified as mint state by either grading service. Great luster, a solid strike and precious few bagmarks are present, all the hallmarks of a fantastic example of this rarely seen date and mint.
