Here is one of the finest seen from an original mintage of a nice round 10,000 pieces, today about 130-140 exist. There are perhaps 8-12 that are comparable, this one with nice surfaces and luster should stand near the top of those known. Identifiable by a minor scuff before Liberty’s neck in the field. Another scarce San Francisco issue that should not be overlooked for its towering quality stands above most others of this date.
