With a mintage of 26,100 pieces this San Francisco eagle should be available in most grades – sort of true but not quite. It appears that all entered circulation save for just a couple and this one is apparently the finest seen by a full grade point. Despite a fair number known, virtually all are in lower grades, mostly below AU. The strike here is sharp, with radiant mint luster and the desirable greenish gold color. The surfaces are simply a delight to study and enjoy, they are so fresh and clean. A condition rarity and the finest around!
