Mintage of 9,925 for the year, and this is one of the two finest seen of this famed Carson City issue. The strike is sharp and the surfaces are probably at the top end of the grade assigned. Rich greenish gold color, abundant luster and a lot of appeal. Interesting “cancelled die” marks cross Liberty as this obverse may have been cancelled at the Mint, then pressed into service for coinage.
