The obverse depicts head left. The reverse shows the value within wreath. Scarce; unusually choice with lovely gold color.

Joachim Murat was a Marshal of France and Admiral of France under the reign of Napoleon. He was titled in 1808 as the King of Naples. Murat received his titles in part by being Napoleon’s brother-in-law through marriage to his younger sister as well as personal merit. He held this title until 1815.
