Canterbury mint. Bare-headed, draped portrait facing right, of “neat style”; reverse, large voided & inscribed cross, MONETA and moneyer’s name Daegberht inscribed on and between the limbs of the cross. Rare.
Sharply struck except for tiny portions, well centered on each side on a broad flan of good metal having complete beaded rims, with brownish gray patina.
