Edward III, Plantagenet King 1327-1377

Minted at London. Fourth coinage, Treaty period of 1361-1369 without French title. Saltire before king’s name. “E” at center of reverse shield.

A beautifully toned coin showing rich reddish gold color, struck on a broad flan with complete and sharp legends, small areas of softness such as on the king’s body but well detailed overall with choice surfaces.
