Galeazzo II & Barnabo Visconti, Lords of Milan 1354-1378
Fr-675; MIR 101 (R2), PCGS-graded MS-61
Obverse and reverse depicts a dragon with helmeted arms. Struck at Milan, rare; superb, even strike.
Curiously remembered as both a patron of literature and a cruel torturer of his enemies, Galeazzo’s reign was a mere prelude to his son Gian’s, who elevated the family to dukes of Milan.
