Obverse depicts diademed and cuirassed bust right. The reverse has four lines of inscription within a wreath. Struck at Ticinum; large flan crack but boldly detailed.

Baduila, or Totila, was another Ostrogothic king attempting to return to the “Good old days” of a united western empire. He was a fine general, and reconquered most of Italy. Finally, his army was defeated by Justinian’s forces, Baduila was killed, and chaos reigned once more.
