Obverse depicts a laureate head of king right. On the reverse crowned double-headed eagle. Exceptionally fine.
Ferdinand was epileptic, having as many as twenty seizures in a day. Judged incapable of ruling, Archduke Ludwig and Prince Metternich were de facto rulers of the Austrian Empire, which included Venice.
