Cosimo III d’ Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany 1608-1621

Dav. 4195, PCGS-graded AU-53

Perfectly centered, with sharp even legends and a striking portrait reminiscent of Transylvanian bust styles of this same period.

Cosimo was of poor health. He delegated the details of ruling to his ministers. He is best known for is tutor and court mathematician, Galileo Gallilee.
