Bernareggi 6, PCGS-graded About Uncirculated Details

Obverse depicts a diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right. On the reverse Victory standing facing, head left, holding a wreath and cross. Struck from pitted and worn dies but still an exceptional example of this rare issue.

King of the Lombards, originally from Bavaria, Aripert I founded numerous churches to spread Catholicism. He left the kingdom in a state of peace, asking the nobles to elect jointly his two sons, Perctarit and Godepert, and so they were elected.
